The coursework and poster sessions continued throughout the week until the conference conclusion on Thursday, March 24. Poster sessions featured 19 posters in categories ranging from genitourinary pathology to pathobiology to communication efforts within the Department. Monday throughout the day our faculty presented posters and talks, including a gastrointestinal pathology presentation, "Evaluation of the Gray-Zone in Staging Between T3 and T4 Colonic Adenocarcinomas" authored by Chirag Patel, Sameer Al Diffalha, Upender Manne, Deepti Dhall, Goo Lee, Venkata Dayana, Smitha Mruthyunjayappa, Michael Behring and Bassel Zein-Sabatto On Monday, March 20, George Netto, M.D., Robert and Ruth Anderson Endowed Chair, presented, "A Primer Precision Pathology: Genomics, Al and Immuno-Oncology" as a Special Course Director. Faculty, staff and trainees were present to speak with interested applicants. On Sunday, March 19, our team hosted a booth at the Fellowship Fair, featuring information about our program's opportunities. ![]() This year's meeting was held both in-person and online. The United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP) hosted its 111th annual meeting March 19-24, 2022 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California, where members of UAB Pathology represented the Department in full force to present various topics of research.
